(I did not include the names of those who made these statements for us to bash them or even focus on them at all… so please let us not turn this into a war against these speakers.)
I did this study because of Lev 5:1 which is mosaic law but helpful in this Christian walk. It says, If you sin by not stepping up and offering yourself as a witness to something you’ve heard or seen in cases of wrongdoing, you’ll be held responsible.)
I just have ONE rule. DO NOT GO BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN!!! (1 Corinthians 4:6Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.)
Enjoy!!!
1) “Poverty is from the devil and God wants all Christians prosperous (Financially).” (Benny Hinn, TBN, 11/6/90)
2) “God not only wants to deliver believers from poverty, (Kenneth Hagin) “He [also] wants His children to eat the best, He wants them to wear the best clothing, He wants them to drive the best cars, and He wants them to have the best of everything.” (Quoted by D.L. McConnell A Different Gospel p.175) Fred Price agrees and boldly says, “That’s the reason why I drive a Rolls Royce.” “Ever Increasing Faith program, TBN Dec.9, 1990)
3) “Financial prosperity is just as much a part of the Gospel as anything else. …And I’m going to tell you something right now. I’m with the Apostle Paul in Romans chapter one: I’m not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, …I’m not ashamed of prosperity. I’m not ashamed that Jesus bought and paid for me to be wealthy….Let me just tell you from the heart of God, preachers are supposed to be rich.” (Marcus Bishop, Praise The Lord Telethon, November 2, 1998).
4) People in a chant repeated several times, “MONEY come unto me NOW, MONEY come unto me NOW.” etc. -As he acted out pulling it in to his person.- (Creflo Dollar and Kenneth Copeland, Dec.4, 1999 Voice of Victory telecast)
5) ” God is coming back for a church without spot or blemish so he is not coming back to a church in debt…this revival must take place before Jesus can come back he cannot come back for a broke church, he cannot come back for a sick church, he cannot come back for a church that is in debt that would be against his word, I’m coming back for a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle so that means there’s going to be some quick transference going on.” (Creflo Dollar, Changing your World, Mar.27, 2000)
6) The very first thing on Jesus` agenda was to get rid of poverty! Would you like to know why some people, including ministries, never get out of poverty? Its not because they aren’t smart. Its not because they don’t have windows of opportunity. Its because they’re not anointed. If you’re not anointed, poverty will follow you all the days of your life. His first objective was to get rid of poverty.” (Jesse Duplantis, Nov. 1997 Voice of the Covenant magazine p.5)
7) “You will walk in blessings, favor, prosperity, health and wealth, and you will do this without having to pursue wealth. First you must seek God’s method of operation and His righteousness. When you find out how to live your life according to the Word of God you will become a money magnet.” “Well, you need to hear about money, because you ain’t gonna have no love and joy and peace until you get some money!” (Creflo Dollar, Praise the Lord, July 20, 1999)
8 ) “JESUS IS NOT SICK – I DON’T HAVE TO BE SICK.” If I said that for you to live from paycheck to paycheck is to deny the power of the gospel, many of you would get angry. In Luke 4:18 … Notice there was an anointing to preach good news to the poor. A lot of people don’t like to look at that because good news to a poor man is that he doesn’t have to be poor anymore. Yet over 90% of the church of Jesus Christ are living in absolute financial bondage. All the while, Jesus is saying, ‘I’ve been anointed to preach the good news to the poor.’ … You have held back the flow. You have denied the perpetual propulsion of power that could deliver you from not only sin and sickness but from the horrible stench of poverty.” (Rod Parsley, God’s Answer to Insufficient Funds. 1992, pp. 46-47.)
9) “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, “now here are both of those laws functioning he sent me. … the Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel, that’s the law of the spirit of the life in Christ Jesus, to the poor . That comes under the law of sin and death. Poverty came into this place when sin came into this place, poverty will kill ya! He sent me to heal, that’s under the law of spirit of life in the anointed one and in his anointing, the broken hearted, that’s the law of sin and death. And the anointing takes authority and dominates.”… God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy ghost and power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, he walked about being the jubilee, in fact he preached the acceptable year of the Lord, That’s the jubilee. So he was our jubilee he said poor man you don’t have to be poor anymore, I’m here, all they had to believe is that he was anointed.(Everyone who is poor who believes is to be rich)”( Copeland and B. Hinn conversation This is your Day Aug 9,1999)
10) “What if Jesus had never been born? Israel would still be under the Law of Moses, heaven would be unpopulated with humans. Man was rich beyond his wildest imagination before he was ever created. He was born into the right family. (laughs) Yeah, he was born where the money was, brother. He was born in a place created just for him. Wasn’t created for anybody else. Just- think of that-just for me. Not many Christians have the guts to believe that.” (KennethCopleland, John Hagees Church (with Rick Godwin on one side of the stage and Hagee on the other) Aug. 18,1999)
11) “Well, now, you need balance in this, get out there in that hyper faith. That name-it-and-claim-it- that blab-it-and-grab-it.” YEAH! We named it and claimed it and got it. (crowd cheers)-We Blabbed it and grabbed it and still got it ! Hallelujah! And our bills are paid.” (Kenneth Copeland, John Hagee’s Church, Aug. 18,1999 LeSea)
12) “There are people ready to pray with you come into agreement and see the power of God released but faith is being unlocked the power of God, you are going to improvise your way into your future, your money is in your mouth” in the name of Jesus receive your miracle right now.” (Mark Chirronna,Aug. 3,1999 TBN)
13) “I’m talkin’ about your money. You know one of the greatest things that is going to happen in the year 2,000 were about to see the church rise up with a revelation that only this generation has ever been given of Gods word concerning high finances in the kingdom of God. And we are just about to see the greatest transfer of wealth out of the hand of the wicked into the hand of the just.” (Rob Parsley, Jan.7,2000 Breakthrough)
14) “I do believe you know wealth in a sense is like energy you can’t destroy it, its just transferred, and I believe in a great economic collapse. The wealth of the world will not destroyed it will be transferred, and I believe a lot of it will be transferred to the believers.” (Rick Joyce, CBN Jan. 3, 2000)
15) “The wicked are piling up the funds and I love the way john teaches on this. He’s the best there is when it comes to teaching you on how to get the wealth of the wicked. Man, I like it.” (B.Hinn Praise-a-thon TBN Nov.6 1990)
16) “Say after me, all of you, everybody say it, ‘The wealth of the wicked is mine.’ [The audience repeats.] One more time, (The audience repeats) One more time. (The audience repeats it again)” (Praise-a-Thon, TBN, April 1990)
17) “look the devil right in the face … and take it all back, get violent.” (R.W. Shambach, LeSea Jan.15, 2000)
Scriptures reference:
Prov. 23:1-5: “When you sit down to eat with a ruler, consider carefully what is before you; And put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite. Do not desire his delicacies, for they are deceptive food. Do not overwork to be rich; because of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven.”
Mt.6:19-21: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; “but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Jesus heart was on heavenly things and doing his fathers will and so should ours. One day the people who thought it was Gods promise to make them wealthy may be in heaven and find that they did not store up treasures for eternal life but for their luxury living on earth.
Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
Luke 16:9 My disciples, I tell you to use WICKED wealth to make friends for yourselves. Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home. (the adjective God used to describe money even in a scripture he tells us to use it is WICKED. Many people get confused by this because its like, why would God want us to use something he calls wicked. That is when we have to remember Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. and 1Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.)
Another great read! I posted this because this seems to the topic going around right now. We are WAKING UP CHURCH. Enjoy Guys.
by Van Robison
As a young man, many years ago I was caught up in the Worldwide Church of God/Ambassador College/Herbert W. Armstrong organization, which was headquartered in Pasadena, California. What I thought was “God’s true church” was only an illusion — a mirage. In this man-made organization, we were taught Old Testament doctrines such as keeping the Saturday Sabbath, keeping 1st, 2nd, and 3rd tithes, observing annual “Holydays” such as “Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles”. We were also subjected to authoritarianism and hierarchy. Clearly, the church “authorities” did everyone’s thinking. There were many teachings about such topics as birthdays, Christmas, women’s make-up, divorce and remarriage, and other matters. After about twelve years of this spiritually abusive organization, I resigned my position as the Payroll Manager for their multi-million dollar payroll, and took an exit never to look back, and that was in October, 1974.
Years later my wife and I and children attended various other churches, including charismatic, pentecostal, non-denominational, and visited a number of churches, such as Baptist and other groups. We attended a couple of the Benny Hinn crusades, and even attended the world famous “revival” at the Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. We have also been associated with a home fellowship group where no “professional” clergy were in the fellowship. We have seen and experienced first hand — CHURCH. After a lifetime of CHURCH, we came to realize that church is not Jesus Christ. Church is an illusion — a mirage. Church is an institution. Jesus Christ nowhere ever asked anyone, “Where do you go to church?”
True worship is directed toward God Almighty/Father/Jesus Christ, but somehow on the way to eternal life, Christians have been derailed, diverted, and refocused from Jesus Christ to “pastors”, churches, organizations, institutions, “The Purpose Driven Church”, church growth (meaning to get more people into physical church buildings, and who are financial contributors), revivals, crusades, camp meetings, Bible schools, seminary, and television celebrity preachers, and other business endeavors, none of which is what Jesus Christ came teaching.
Jesus Christ was not:
1. A Baptist.
2. A Methodist.
3. A Presbyterian.
4. A Roman Catholic.
5. A Pentecostal.
6. A Charismatic.
7. A Church of Christ.
8. A non-instrumental Church of Christ.
9. A Mennonite.
10. A Lutheran.
11. A Worldwide Church of God/Armstrongism.
12. Amish.
13. Reformed.
14. A Holiness Church.
15. A Sacred Name Church.
16. A Seventh Day Adventist.
17. A Mormon.
18. A Jehovah’s Witness Church.
19. A First Christian Church.
20. An Episcopal.
21. A Full Gospel Interdenominational.
22. A Nazarene Church.
We could keep listing church names and organizations ad infinitum. Almost without exception, at least in the United States, all church organizations are registered 501c3 “not for profit” institutions. The reason this is so, is because it is a tradition, and the CPA’s and church lawyers have encouraged 501c3 status for all churches. There actually is another way, and that is to forget the buildings, forget the money, and forget the paid hirelings, and fellowship under the apple tree for free.
If your relationship is with Jesus Christ, you need no illusion. A mirage is not real.
The Apostles established local congregations, but NOT Church buildings. Church Buildings did NOT exist for the first 350 years of Christianity. The Christians met in homes when they could and often in Forest clearings (Fields). (Later we will go into who began the practice) They could preach in the open until Christianity was outlawed. But persecution of Christians was very active and intense thanks to the Roman Emperors starting by the decade of the 60s A.D. and continuing almost unbroken until the year that Constantine suspended the practice in 312 A.D. with his Edict of Toleration. The Apostles did not establish a Church Hierarchy of local Congregations where one Church had jurisdiction over others. This did not take place until this practice was instituted by Constantine when he appointed Eusebius to set up his Imperial Roman Church of the East and the West.
Most Christians in Europe know these facts, not as a consequence of studying Eastern Orthodoxy, but as a result of studying the Roman Empire in-depth.
The idea therefore of a Corporation Church, establishing itself in a Fixed geographical location, with buildings, assets, censers (incense), altars, and statues or paintings is simply absurd. And scholars who study the origins of Christianity never make the claims to the contrary, the one exception being the Vatican. The Christians were constantly under threat, constantly on the run, and constantly in fear for their lives.
LOOK IT UP FOR YOURSELF. Encyclopedias
So the question is, What is this church?
Is it a building? Or is it the people?
Not one time in scripture is the church referred to as a building but the name of God’s people. The idea of going to church was developed later.
Situations concerning money is a big misunderstood thing in the church today. WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE WHAT IT DOES FOR US and WE LOVE HOW IT MAKES US FEEL. WE ARE AFRAID IF WE DONT HAVE IT (FEAR). N we don’t like what Jesus had to say about it so we go into the Old Testament to find reasons why money is GOOD. (MONEY ANSWERS ALL THINGS and scriptures like this) So we make God contradiction (as we do with most things; we are the reason for people thinking the bible has contradictions). One min God says, It is HARD for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God and even requested that his disciples sold their processions.
Here is a great read of what is going on in the body today.
by Van Robison
Have you ever noticed in life, that those who have the money are the controllers of all the people? Oddly, even in the world of institutionalized church, it is the preachers who have the money, and it is the preachers who control the people. We all know that the government, who plays the role of “God” in the lives of all the citizens, is also the source that takes your money and regulates your life from the cradle to the grave. In the Institutionalized church world, the preachers convince the church goers to be taxed through tithing, and by that means many preachers become very wealthy, and they also rule much of what people believe.
Why is it that the money-men rule and control in life? Why is it that money and power go hand in hand? One thing for sure is that both money and power corrupt. Some church organizations are worth countless billions in cash and assets, and these groups also control the lives, thinking, and beliefs of millions of human beings. In the protestant church world, some individual preachers take in tens of millions of dollars annually. They also mesmerize the minds of many, who are deluded into financial support (partners) for these celebrity preachers. There is not one celebrity television preacher who would not be on television without an endless flow of money. As a result of money, many preachers are kept in the neon lights and paraded before the public as if these people represent Jesus Christ to the world. One would think that Christ selected millionaires and celebrities to be His personal disciples, but to the contrary, Jesus Christ actually hand picked fishermen such as Peter, who was essentially a nobody.
Somehow in our day and age, the church world has gone completely off the deep end and has decided that millionaire and multimillionaire preachers are their shepherds and masters. Many have found seats inside great church organizations, in the belief that massive church organizations have the “truth”, and the way to heaven is through their doors. Others are greatly impressed with eye-popping church structures, that are architectural delights to the senses, and have made their spiritual homes within. Money is both an attraction, because of what money can buy, but it is also a means to control others, and by which the rulers of people rule. Church lords insist that they are entitled to your pocketbook and bank account. Many church lords fill their private treasure chests with cash, extracted from church goers and television viewers by psychological gimmickry. It is indeed strange how so many Christians are seduced by slick talking salesmen in the pulpits. These salesmen and saleswomen are often very persuasive.
A great oddity about the world of churches and massive church organizations is that if there were no money involved, none of these organizations would exist, and consequently the common seeker of God would not be ruled over by those they give their money to. The money principle is that if you give your money to religious salesmen in the pulpits, they will in turn rule your life. The benefit is primarily one sided, and that is because the preacher salesmen benefit greatly materially from those who are deceived enough to have these human lords as their infallible teachers and masters, who do their thinking and loot their bank account (all of course in the name of Jesus Christ). Preacher salesmen would have you believe that the Creator of the universe is in great need of your money and you are giving to “God” by sending them your weekly or monthly pledge. Money is the obsession of the institutionalized churches, for the simple reason that none of them would exist without it. Church corporations and “non-profit” Christian organizations only exist through your money. All pastors live on church welfare, with few exceptions. Did not Jesus tell Peter “feed my sheep”, or did He say “Peter, teach the sheep to feed you?” Many love the “ministry” because it is a source of free money.
Even wars would not be fought unless money supplied the means. Although almost all people who donate to institutionalized churches and preachers do so with honorable intentions, at the same time they also are being told what to believe. They are told what is “truth”, and basically are taught that the paid pulpiteers (pastors) are the spiritual “experts” who understand God and truth. Basically, the whole church system as the world knows it, is a two-class system, in which the human priests, pastors, bishops and paid pulpiteers are in an elevated status, as if these people are “special” in the eyes of God, while the lowly “laity” (basically uneducated and inept) are just clones, robots and personal disciples of pastors. This is odd indeed, because Jesus taught that we ALL ARE BRETHREN (Matthew 23:8), not celebrities on one hand and pawns on the other.
What ever happened to the Biblical idea of “prove all things”, as opposed to just believing all things spoken from the pulpits? What ever happened to the Biblical idea of “try the spirits whether they be of God”, as opposed to accepting every spirit that speaks? As a Christian, if you want to be ruled over and controlled by professional clergy, then give them financial support and they will gladly do your thinking, rule your life and help themselves to your pocketbook, for as long as you are willing. On the other hand, if you want Jesus Christ to be your Shepherd, Teacher, Counselor, Master, Lord, Savior, Way, Truth and Life, then you can read His personal teachings in the four Gospels, follow Him and you can’t buy Him with all the gold in California. The world is full of “pastors” who can be bought and purchased with money. Take the money away and most “pastors” will likely disappear among ordinary people, because their real motive in “pastoring” is money, control and power–they love it.
The institutionalized church world–all of it–is a massive money business, controlled by the professional clergy. As you journey through the four Gospels, you discover that Jesus Christ never hand picked professional clergy types, but rather the “uneducated” to represent Him. Some of them were fishermen who no doubt even stunk like fish. Peter never preached for money or merchandised the Gospel. No doubt the disciples of Jesus Christ never sold their sermons for tithes and offerings. Jesus Christ never passed a bucket to take up a collection for preaching, and neither did Peter.
So, I just finished watching “Precious”. I must say I was extremely disappointed; It didn’t move me. Everyone knows me to be an emotional guy, shoot I cry during the Little Mermaid (don’t tell no body though). I mean it wasn’t a horrible movie by any means, please don’t get me wrong. The thing that disappointed me was to see that this movie really was not about Precious. I was really excited to watch this movie when it started because I was expecting to see a movie about a beautiful young girl who is not considered beautiful in the eyes of others including her mother. The movie had that in it but it had so much other stuff in it that shifted the story into other things. It almost was like they would go back and forth with “Precious” moments to secret messages. There were a lot of subliminal messages in the movie namely about homosexuality. The movie turned into a gay tolerant movie which is fine but I just felt like it was a bit of a bait and switch type of thing.
When I mention gay tolerance I’m talking about the fact that the villains in the movie seemed to make disgusting comments about homosexuals but the heroes in the movie ended up being homosexuals. This is how psychology works; we relate to the heroes in the movie but we end up hating the villains. So what happens here, we end up HATING the villains and everything about them (making viewers question things they learned from perhaps the bible or other sources) and Loving the heroes and everything about them even things we don’t agree with. I’m surprised they didn’t put scriptures in the movie so viewers would question those like many movies do. What I would have done would be to teach LOVE EVERYONE but it became a trade-off of hate. I noticed the social services office having a rainbow poster on the ladies desk? While they are speaking the camera made sure to keep that poster in the view. Lastly, Precious often relayed what her mother said about homosexuals which was all negative. (the villain) The heroes of the story were Precious’s teacher and her female lover. I do understand the director is an openly gay man but I’m just saying I wanted to see a movie more in-depth than this movie was. Of course directors put in subliminal messages in their movies but if your going to do that make sure the focus does not take away from the story. In this movie it did for me.
The movie had some interesting stories to build up on and they really left them for our imaginations. I am not paying money or watching a movie to have to use my imagination for the entire movie. Like did Mary have HIV as well as the daughter? (received from her father) She told Precious she didn’t have it because she did not allow her lover to do sexual things in her backside. (which was another ignorant gay reference to make the audience think) When Mary mentioned that her grandmother wasnt better than them did she mean she was just like them? One minute the grandmother was portrayed as civil but later in the hospital she was speaking exactly like the mother. I would have liked to see how Precious was going to deal with having HIV as far as medicine being that she had no finances. Why wasnt the mother taken to jail when she confessed about allowing her daughter to be raped? (or was she) Those are just some of the questions that perhaps I would get from the book if I read it. If the movie didn’t focus on gay tolerance so much perhaps they could have developed those stories.
Oh well, another movie that wasted my time. I also don’t like that an African-American movie often has to be about the lowest of that culture for it to be remembered and even gets nominated for an Oscar. (Boys In the Hood, Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, Friday, Juice, Dangerous Minds, Do the Right Thing, The Color Purple)Have we not pitied the AA culture enough yet? Has there not been a single excellent movie of that culture with middle/upper class made yet? Does the worst of AA culture interest America that much? I know black people have won and that’s not what I’m saying but when it comes to movies about black culture can it not be about drugs, gangs, thug life, poverty and such. I don’t even care about race like that but I just had this observation.
To end this I’m just saying I was tricked by the hype of this movie. It as just another low-class family problematic African-American Movie that did not develop the characters; including Precious.
First here is a little information about Ms. Alice Bailey who wrote these strategies in her books. (If you don’t want to read just bypass to the strategies)The Lucis Trust is a non-profit organization incorporated in New York State, created in 1920 by Alice Bailey and her husband Foster, to manage the business of publishing Mrs. Bailey’s twenty-five esoteric books. Its headquarters are in New York City (at 24th floor of the 120 Wall Street), London (Lucis Press Ltd.) and Geneva (Lucis Trust Association). In addition to continuing to publish her books worldwide, Lucis Trust’s activities also include a correspondence school based on her teachings (known as the Arcane School), a lending library of esoteric books known as Lucis Trust Libraries, a publishing house called Lucis Publishing Companies, Lucis Productions, World Goodwill and Triangles[1].
Today it has around 6,000 members, and an estimated annual revenue of $600,000.
The World Goodwill group, founded in 1932, is particularly important among Lucis Trust’s activities, as it has been recognized by the UNITED NATIONS (AND HAS A BASE IN THE UNITED NATIONS) as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), and is represented at regular briefing sessions at the United Nations in New York and Geneva. Lucis Trust is therefore a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
In part because of this presence of Lucis Trust in the United Nations System, along with explicit reference by former Assistant Secretary General Robert Muller in his writings to Bailey’s philosophy, some have accused the UN of having a New Age ideology and agenda.
(from Wikipedia)
THE TEN STRATEGIES OF THE PLAN – Alice Bailey, New Age Guru.
1. Push God out of the schools. If the people grow up without reference to God, then they will consider God irrelevant to day to day life. In the last fifty years this has happened. God is irrelevant to most people.
2. Break the Traditional Judaeo-Christian Family Concept. Break communication between parents and children so that parents can’t pass on spiritual values to their children. Do this by pushing excessive child rights.
3. Remove restrictions on sex. Sex is the biggest joy and Christianity robs people of this. People must be freed to enjoy it without restrictions. It’s not just for married, it’s for everybody.
4. Since sex is the greatest expression of man’s enjoyment of life, man must be free to express sex in ALL its forms. Homosexuality, orgies, even bestiality are desirable so long as no one is being abused or harmed.
5. People must be free to abort unwanted children. If a man can have sex and then live without the consequences then the same should be true for a woman too. A woman must have the right to abort an unwanted child.
6. Every person develops soul bonds, so when a soul bond wears out a person must be free to divorce. When one starts to grow, one must be free to get together with that person even if they are married . . .
7. Defuse religious radicalism. Christianity says JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. Defuse this by a) silencing Christianity and b) promoting other faiths (the creation of interfaith harmony)
8. Use the Media to Influence Mass Opinion. Create mass opinion that is receptive to these values by using TV, film, the press etc. (NB what western believers call normal in the African church would be pornography).
9. Debase art in all its forms. Corrupt music, painting, poetry and every expression of the heart and make is obscene, immoral and occultic. Debase the arts in every way possible.
10.Get the church to endorse every one of these nine strategies. Get the church to accept these principles and to say they’re OK (then legal ground is given for these values to get a foothold).
Q: So how do you get a NEW WORLD ORDER you may ask?
A: DESTROY THE CHRISTIAN CONCEPT. MAKE EVERYONE HATE THEM, ADD NON-BIBLICAL IDEAS AND INTERMIX IT WITH THE CHRISTIAN NORM, DESTROY IT WITH EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER. DONE!!!

There have been many people who have contacted me saying they could not find these strategies. Most of which are looking for my exact list… you will not find them like that … you have to do research from different pieces of her works. Get to the library and find them if you can, she wrote so many so it’s not something people can just give to you guys. If you do you will find stuff like this…
1. TAKE GOD AND PRAYER OUT OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM
She said; Change curriculum to ensure that children are freed from the bondage of Christian culture. Why? Because children go to school to be equipped to face life, they are willing to trust and they are willing to value what is being given to them.
If you take God out of education, they will unconsciously form a resolve that God is not necessary to face life. They will focus on those things the school counts them worthy to be passed on and they will look at God as an additional, if one can afford the additional.
N.B. Today they introduce Transcendental Meditation (TM) in schools which takes children to altered states of consciousness to meet with demons (spirit guides) = New Age
2. REDUCE PARENTAL AUTHORITY OVER THE CHILDREN
She said; Break the communication between parent and child (Why?). So that parents do not pass on their Christian traditions to their children, liberate children from the bondage of their parent traditions (how?)
a) Promote excessive child rights; (1997-1998 South Africa introduced Child rights legislation – UNICEF Charter; Today a child is able to say to parent ‘I do not want to hear that, I don’t want to do what you are telling me. Teachers cannot talk to children, children step up and say I have my rights, you cannot talk to me like that).
b) Abolish corporal punishment; (this has been made law). On the other hand the Bible says ‘Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod and deliver his soul from hell.’ (Proverbs 23: 13-14)
N.B. Jesus said in the last days – wickedness will increase, there will be
rebellion and children will not obey their parents. It is not a trend,
It is organized.
c) Teachers are the agents of implementation – from workshops, teachers tell children ‘your parent has no right to force you to pray or read the Bible, you are yourself, have a right of your own, you need to discover yourself, self expression, self realization, self fulfillment are all buzz words.
In the West when the child is 7 yrs, the teachers begin to say to the child ‘you have a right to choose whether you want to follow the faith of your parents or not, parents are not allowed to enforce their faith upon you.’ Question is, what type of decision can a 7 year old make?
3. DESTROY THE JUDEO-CHRISTIAN FAMILY STRUCTURE
OR THE TRADITIONAL CHRISTIAN FAMILY STRUCTURE (Why?).
It is oppressive and that the family is the core of the nation. If you break the family, you break the nation. Liberate the people from the confines of this structure (How?)
a) Promote sexual promiscuity – free young people to the concept of premarital sex, let them have free sex, lift it so high that the joy of enjoying it(sex) is the highest joy in life, fantasize it, that everybody will feel proud to be seen to be sexually active, even those outside of marriage. This is contrary to the word of God which says “… But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints… for this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.” (Ephesians 5: 3-5)
b) Use advertising industry, media – T.V., magazines, film industry to promote sexual enjoyment as the highest pleasure in humanity.
Have they succeeded? Have they done it? If you want to see whether they have succeeded or not, go to the advertising industry, it does everything to catch your attention and today almost no advert comes out without a sexual connotation. Even when they advertise ice cream, they must show you a thigh of a woman and a bikini, they must do something to set off a trail of thoughts. They will show you more thighs than ice cream. Why? Because, that is what must be in the minds of the people.
N.B. Advertising industry pops out so much money towards their advertisements to the T.V. and radio.
4. IF SEX IS FREE, THEN MAKE ABORTION LEGAL AND MAKE IT EASY
She said; Build clinics for abortion – Health clinics in schools. If people are going to enjoy the joy of sexual relationships, they need to be free of unnecessary fears, in other words they should not be hampered with unwanted pregnancies.
‘Abortion as told by Christians is oppressive and denies our rights, we have a right to choose whether we want to have a child or not. If a woman does not want the pregnancy, she should have the freedom to get rid of that pregnancy painless and as easy as possible’. Today it is not only accessible, it is forced. Today abortion is a strategy to curb population control together with the use of condoms and ‘pill’.
5. MAKE DIVORCE EASY AND LEGAL, FREE PEOPLE FROM THE CONCEPT OF MARRIAGE FOR LIFE.
Alice wrote 50 years ago that love has got a mysterious link called the love bond. It is like an ovum that comes out of the ovary, as it travels through your system, it clicks a love favor in you and there’s one other person in the world who can respond to that love bond, when you see that person, everything within you clicks, that is your man/woman, if you miss him, you’ll never be happy until that love bond cycles past, for many years, so for you to be happy get that person at whatever cost, if it means getting him/her out of that marriage, get him/her that is your man/woman. It’s a mistake for him/her to be elsewhere. And if you go together for sometime and find that love has died, don’t be held in bondage by the Christian values it will never come back, what you need is an easily arranged divorce and allow another love bond to come forth, just like an ovum comes up, and when it comes forth you’ll enjoy life again. On the contrary God’s word says in Malachi 2: 16; “For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce…”
N.B. People enter into marriage having signed contracts of how they will share their things after divorce. People enter with one foot and another behind. 50 years ago divorce was unthinkable. It is one thing for a marriage to fail but it is another thing for people to enter marriage with an intention to enjoy as long as it was enjoyable and to walk out of it.
6. MAKE HOMOSEXUALITY AN ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE
Alice Bailey preached (50 yrs ago) that sexual enjoyment is the highest pleasure in humanity, no one must be denied and no one must be restricted how to enjoy themselves. People should be allowed in which ever way they chose they want, whether it is homosexuality or in incest or bestiality, as long as the two agree.
A law was passed in our nation, South Africa. Parliament has passed it on 26/01/2000 and the President gave it his signature on 4/02/2000 – giving so much freedom to gay rights, that a time will come when it is illegal for a preacher to mention homosexuality as an abomination in the eyes of God, or to read scriptures publicly that talk about homosexuality. In Mozambique 1994, an agenda was drawn targeting to fill the police force, the judicial system (judges), the education system and everywhere else with gays, so that when a case comes up, they are there to defend the cause. Today the church is expected to marry gays/lesbians.
According to the Bible, this is an abomination before the eyes of God
(Leviticus 18:22; 20:13)
7. DEBASE ART, MAKE IT RUN MAD
How? Promote new forms of art which will corrupt and defile the imagination of people because art is the language of the spirit, that which is inside, you can bring out in painting, music, drama etc. Look at the quality of the music that is coming out, the films out of Holywood.
8. USE MEDIA TO PROMOTE AND CHANGE MINDSET
Alice Bailey said the greatest channel you need to use to change human attitude is media. Use the press, the radio, T.V, cinema. You can tell today how successful they have been in implementing the plan over 50 years via media as well as advertising agencies, billboards, magazines. Who controls media? (New Age); So much money is pumped into media and advertising spreading of pornographic material and other sources. Sex outside of marriage is thrown on your face 80-90 times than sex in marriage. Promiscuity is being promoted as natural, you watch gay sex on T.V. in homes where children’s minds are being neutralized to sensitivity to these things. You wonder why newspapers, T.V, etc do not record anything about Christian activities.
9. CREATE AN INTERFAITH MOVEMENT
Alice Bailey wrote; Promote other faiths to be at par with Christianity, and break this thing about Christianity as being the only way to heaven, by that Christianity will be pulled down and other faiths promoted. She said promote the importance of man in determining his own future and destiny – HUMANISM. She said tell man he has the right to choose what he wants to be and he can make it happen, he has the right to determine his cause – This takes God off His throne. We have seen in our nation, South Africa hosting a meeting of the Interfaith Movement in Cape Town led by Dalai Lama.
10. GET GOVERNMENTS TO MAKE ALL THESE LAW AND GET THE CHURCH TO ENDORSE THESE CHANGES.
(Keep in mind the love in the title is not a romantic love but Christian love)
Hey everyone,
Here is an update of how I am doing. As of yesterday I have become a free agent, that’s right I am unemployed and I cannot believe how much of a blessing it is. I was dismissed for the weirdest reason, although the reason was twisted into a more serious thing. I will not use the name of the company because I am not going to be the one to leave a place bitter and trash the company. Those of you who know please refrain from posting your feelings about that company on my comments. We have to be peaceful.
So here is what happened. Basically I over heard someone speaking about a friend and how they are quitting. The exact words were, “When she leaves the new hire will be a great replacement”. I quickly went over to the woman being referred to and asked for her information in order to keep in touch being that she was quitting. This is where things went wrong, the woman said to me, “I’m not quitting, why?”. I let her know I may have been mistaken and that I am sorry for even bringing it to her. Well It turns out the woman was actually being dismissed and I had no idea. I felt terrible that she found out that way. The person who I overheard she was leaving was talking about her being dismissed and I had no idea. She probably should not have said it out in the open as she did. Some say I was set up but I don’t think so. I heard so much trash about me while she was talking on the phone which shows me it just must be her thing to speak about people in the open.
Well, later that day I was called to her office with another person and someone on the phone. They asked me what did I tell that woman and I was very honest except for not saying the name of the person I overheard she was leaving from. I said I overheard that she was leaving and went to get her information before she left which is a very normal thing to do in a company. Many times someone quits and you never hear from them again. Apparently the woman asked them if she was being fired because I asked her if she was quitting. She figured I must have heard something. I’m not sure it was the best way to handle it that way though. My intentions was not to tell her she was getting fired especially being that that was something I had no knowledge of, but being that my accidental information allowed her to know, it may have been a better decision to start looking. Well it didn’t workout to well because the next day she was gone and I felt terrible. The next day I found out that the executive that made the mistake of discussing that information in the open was speaking to HR about getting rid of me. What really happened was twisted into, “Omar told someone they were getting fired before they were fired”. That became HR concern because that is the HR’s job to do. Now the thing is, I wasn’t going to fight this because I was actually going to quit the week before but my boss asked me to wait and look for a job first. I realized I was going to get dismissed at that point because as usual this lady left her door open again discussing having me terminated lol. I was really excited. I was working as a temp for 2 years, no benefits and as a cancer survivor that is not a good look at all. God is faithful though!
One of the reasons I stayed for so long was because of certain people. The big boss who i respected and loved almost like an office father. This man has shown me so much in the past 2 years about business and how to keep your composure. He has blessed me with so much and he doesn’t ever know and may never know. I hope he doesn’t believe what he was told being that he was on vacation while this took place. Mr. G, I RESPECT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SHOWN ME. THANK YOU FOR THE OPPORTUNITY AND FOR TEACHING ME.
Then there is a wonderful woman who works there whom I also worked under. She was such a breath of fresh air. Her and I were a great team, we worked on presentations and such very often. This woman was able to take a proposal that wasn’t about anything and turn it into a wonderful proposal that would potentially bring in money to the company. I learned a lot from her but one of the things that was hurting me was the fact that I could not give my all while working for her. (making silly typos because I had no time to read over it) I had another person I worked for that took so much of my time for small work. Mrs. B, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, THANK YOU FOR TEACHING ME A GREAT SKILL.
Now to the other person I worked under. I love you very much. I’m sorry it did not work out.
To the team and family there. I will miss you all. I love each one of you and enjoyed working with you for the past 2 years.
Do I blame the person who got me dismissed ? No, I don’t because I knew that person was unhappy working with me for a long time as was I. The short time working for that person was very tough for me. I was able to truly see this LOVE thing that God has given me through his holy spirit each day. The fact that I never snapped. It was becoming evident that I was unhappy there though. Even the boss asked me a few times whats wrong and of course I played it off because I’m not one to complain.
The good news is that I get to collect unemployment now which is kind of cool. I haven’t had a vacation in 2 years and I feel like this would be a good time to take it until the next thing comes.
Here goes the end of that chapter. It’s cool though because my main reason for working is to pay for my college. After that I am going to submit my life to being a servant. I will be traveling on mission trips and such. Helping the needy, visiting hospitals. No it’s not going to bring me a lot of money but it’s what I want to and must do. Christ Love is about helping.
This picture is what reminds me of Mr. G. Handling business as always.
Here is a great read from a Christian website called battered sheep. The site is down now but I saved some interesting articles. Here is one that discusses SUNDAY worship and even SATURDAY worship in the Christian church and how scripture says Christians live vs. what has been set for us by men.
by Van Robison
Many are the customs of the church world, that have nothing to do with Jesus Christ or the teachings of Christ. Sunday “go to church” is at the top of the list of man-made traditions (along with tithing). In the Old Testament, the Sabbath of rest was the seventh day of the week: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Exodus 20:8). All Bible students know that the weekly Sabbath of the Old Testament referred to the seventh day of the week. What many Christians are unaware of is that there were also other “Sabbaths” in the Old Testament that had to do with annual Feasts or Holydays. At times, it was possible for an annual Sabbath or “Highday” to fall on the seventh day of the week, which made it a double Sabbath.
It is presumed by many that the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday in the New Testament, but that is not true. The word “Sunday” cannot be found in the Bible, either Old or New Testaments. The phrase the first day of the week, found in perhaps eight different places in the New Testament, has nothing whatsoever to do with the first day of the week being the weekly “Sabbath.” Calling Sunday “the Lord’s day” as if Sunday is the weekly Sabbath, is purely a 100% man-made tradition. Any honest student of the Bible cannot possibly entertain “the first day of the week” which is Sunday on your calendar, as the weekly Sabbath. Even if it was customary to gather on “the first day of the week”, that did not make Sunday the Sabbath, and that is a preposterous assumption.
However, just like Sunday observance, Saturday observance is likewise a fallacy, because the one and only true Sabbath of Rest (Hebrews 4) is Jesus Christ, and not any day of the week. The Old Testament seventh day (Saturday) Sabbath was a shadow (meaning: pointing forward to a future reality, and which reality is Christ) of the real rest in Jesus Christ. As a former Saturday Sabbath keeper for about twelve years, I learned many years ago that neither Sunday or Saturday are significant days in the eyes of God, because Jesus Christ is the one and only source who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus never made such a statement as, “Your salvation depends on keeping the Saturday Sabbath or going to church on Sunday.” Jesus didn’t say that “For God so loved the world, that He gave us the seventh day Sabbath, that whosoever keeps the seventh day Sabbath, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” And yet that is essentially the belief of seventh day groups.
Many Sabbath groups inundate the Internet with tentacles extended, seeking to draw people into their false teachings. They associate keeping the Saturday Sabbath with salvation and eternal life, but any serious student of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the New Testament will never find that the forgiveness of sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the gift of eternal life are associated with the seventh day of the week; and for that matter, neither is “going to church” on Sunday associated with the forgiveness of sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the gift of eternal life. The things of God are only understood by the Spirit of God, and it is the natural mind of man that believes and teaches that legalistic observances are a necessary part of salvation.
The New Testament clearly states that “by the works of the law, shall no flesh be justified” (Galatians 2:16). And again in Romans 3:20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight…” Colossians 2:16 (Amplified Bible) “Therefore let no one sit in judgment of you in matters of food and drink, or with regard to a feast day or a New Moon or a Sabbath. (17) Such [things] ARE ONLY THE SHADOW of things that are to come, and THEY HAVE ONLY A SYMBOLIC VALUE. But the reality … belongs to Christ.” And as it states in Hebrews 4, we enter into His rest. The book of Galatians has a great deal to say about the “law” of the Old Testament, such as 5:18: “But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Keeping the Sabbath, whether believers in Christ think the seventh day of the week, or the first day of the week, will merit righteousness and favor in God’s eyes, is to lack understanding of the purpose of Jesus Christ, and also to lack faith in Christ. Keeping and observing days is a reflection of faith in days, not in Christ.
Any student of the teachings, life and purpose of Jesus Christ will easily discover that neither Saturday or Sunday are “Holydays” in the New Testament era. And even though all seventh day groups believe that Jesus Christ did not abolish the law and the prophets, they are never able to see that He in fact FULFILLED the requirements of the law by His life and crucifixion. Seventh day groups always, always quote Matthew 5:17: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” And they are never able to understand what Jesus did to fulfill the law and the prophets. And verse 18 goes on to say, “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” The key of course is the fact that Jesus “fulfilled”, and as He expired His last breath on the cross, He said “it is finished” (John 19:30). If the “law” has not been fulfilled by Jesus Christ, then not only would the seventh day Sabbath still apply to our lives, but so also would all the other hundreds of laws of the Old Testament; and that is an impossibility since the Old Testament Levitical priesthood has been replaced by the Priesthood of Jesus Christ (see the book of Hebrews). The key to understanding this verse, where Jesus said, “Think not, that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets, but to fulfill” is the fact that all the prophecies about the coming of the Messiah had to be fulfilled–Luke 24:44: “And He (Jesus) said unto them: These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED, WHICH WERE WRITTEN IN THE LAW OF MOSES, and IN THE PROPHETS, and in the psalms, concerning Me (Messiah).” It is impossible to separate “the law” from “the prophets”, and proclaim that all the prophecies foretelling about the coming of the Messiah–Jesus Christ, are fulfilled, but the law is not. It is either both or none. And we absolutely know that all the prophecies foretelling the coming of the Messiah have been fulfilled, and so therefore, the law has also been fulfilled, and that means the Saturday Sabbath, which was only a “shadow” is now fulfilled in Christ, who is the true Rest.
Clearly if the Kingdom of God were attained by keeping the seventh day Sabbath or by going to church on Sunday, then Jesus Christ died in vain. All references about the apostle Paul teaching on the “Sabbath” in the book of Acts, have nothing to do with the the Sabbath being a “Holyday”, or binding on Gentiles or on Christians. Those references are just statements saying that “on the Sabbath, he taught”, but that does not make the Sabbath a binding law in the New Covenant in Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul didn’t lack faith in Christ, because he taught on the Sabbath day; he taught on the Sabbath day because that is when people were gathered together in the synagogues; but he also taught anytime, anywhere, any day. Paul clearly understood that the “law” was fulfilled in Christ, and there was no obligation to observe the Sabbath as a weekly “Holyday.”
The hard truth is that Jesus Christ never said anything about “going to church”, and He never said anything about “Sunday” observance; so Christians who think that “resting” on Sunday will accrue brownie points in heaven, are very deluded. Sunday “go to church” and resting on Sunday (as if Sunday is the “Sabbath”), is nothing more than a religious custom that has absolutely no spiritual merit, and certainly is not validated in the New Testament. In fact, observing days in a ritualistic fashion is an assurance of a lack of understanding and faith in Jesus Christ. And since most all “Christian” pastors teach observing “Sunday” or “Saturday” as if they are sacred days, it means that almost all pastors are immature in their understanding about Jesus Christ. And to be blunt, it is a false Gospel. The New Testament is not about observing days as “Holy” days, but rather, it is about FAITH in Jesus Christ. Sunday and Saturday observance are fictional religious customs, not based upon truth in Jesus Christ in the New Testament era.
Is it then a sin to gather on Sunday or Saturday? No! And it is perfectly OK to fellowship on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. For any preacher to teach that either Saturday or Sunday are “Holydays” and essential to salvation or faith in Jesus Christ, is very off base. To teach that Sunday is the Sabbath of rest, is a fable. Observing the seventh day of the week as a day of rest, only applied to Israel in the Old Testament and has never been a compulsory law to Christians in the New Testament era. If it were true that all Christians who do not observe the seventh day Sabbath of rest are sinners, then all non-seventh day believers in Christ would have no salvation. That belief by seventh day groups is a veil over their understanding about the Lamb of God–Jesus Christ. Observing days is nothing more than human works, but we cease from our own works in Christ (Hebrews 4:10). Without question, Sunday observance is a man-made tradition having nothing to do with faith in Jesus Christ.
Now I want you guys to understand something. Before reading this, understand that you will not like what the word of God says about Money. Remember our hearts often try to convince us to disagree with things God’s word agrees with and to agree with things God’s word disagrees with.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
Take note of that scripture and realize this is the way our sinful nature works. Remembering this keeps us on guard when ideas come into our mind about God.
I know there is a prosperity gospel going on out there that tells us God wants us to be rich. GOD IS GIVING US AN INCREASE! GOD WILL SHOWER YOU WITH BLESSINGS LIKE MONEY AND OTHER RICHES! Do these ideas support God’s feelings toward money?
The first scripture we will read is:
1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is a root of ALL kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
The way we negate this scripture from our own heart is focusing on the word LOVE. We hear people say that it is the LOVE of money that is the root of evil but not MONEY all together. We don’t focus on the word ALL which is very important. It is telling us that if we have any evil in our hearts that the root of it is the love of MONEY.
So what we have to do is allow God to judge if we LOVE money or not. Most say they don’t love money so this scripture does not apply to them. He is going to show us the difference of what we think and what God thinks. See we think that Money is VERY VERY GOOD when God says that money is EVIL.
Lets read Luke 16:9
Jesus is rapping up a parable with the point that we should use the worldly wealth as if they don’t belong to us to make friends of people who are going to be in heaven, so they will invite us into eternal dwellings. We should use it to do favors of other people, to forgive their debt because once what we have here is gone we will still have those people and those relationships and we will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven with them. This is the best way to use wealth according to God.
Luke 16:9 in a few translations:
Luke 16:9 (NIV) I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
Now we say to ourselves that this doesn’t say that money is evil when actually it does.
Look here:
(KJV) And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the MAMMON of UNRIGHTEOUSNESS; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.
Many people think this means, we are to take the wealth of wicked people and use it for Godly things. That is not what this is saying. Mammon of unrighteousness is not referring to the money of the bad people. This is telling us how we are to use WICKED money and even when you use it in the right way it is described as evil.
(CEV) My disciples, I tell you to use WICKED wealth to make friends for yourselves. Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home.
Here are some of the meanings of the Greek word that was originally used.
Adikia [ad-ee-kee’-ah]
(legal) injustice (properly the quality, by implication the act); moral wrongfulness ( of character, life or act): – iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong.
Now you can say what ever you want but you cannot pretend that this word means righteous. Some think that our mammon is righteous because we use it in a good way.
There is no question that the bible describes money as evil in scripture.
All this time most of us have been thinking that there is nothing wrong with money it self but that we just cant be greedy. See we aren’t going to see these things on our own, only if we allow the word of God to show us about our sinful hearts.
Now we have a choice in this, we can agree with Jesus or we can sneer at Jesus exactly like the Pharisee did right after Jesus explained this.
Luke 16 : 13″No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
14The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight.
We have to ask God to forgive us of our sin of hanging on to money and really valuing it. This shows that what we value (money) God calls WICKED.
Do you love money?
Now before we can see if we love money or not. We have to allow the word of God to do its job. It will come into our hearts and start dividing what is good and what is evil. The two often get intertwined.
Hebrews 4: 12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
We have allowed new types of things to infiltrate into the body of Christ and have now warped God’s word into what we want it to say.
2 Corinthians 10:4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
We think that what WE want is what God wants but that is no so. God wants what is exactly opposite of what this sinful nature wants (flesh)
Galatians 5: 19-16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is CONTRARY to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is CONTRARY to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, SO THAT YOU DO NOT DO WHAT YOU WANT.
Satan is the one who comes in and tells us that YOU can have both what you want; that you can have both what your sinful nature and what your spirit want.
He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. –John 8: 44b
2 Timothy 4:3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
Satan is going to tell you that you do not have to make a choice, God will tell you the truth, that you do have to make a choice. You can only have one are the other. Light and darkness cannot go together.
I say this because you have to understand that when you read these scriptures about money, it is going to start a war in you. You will begin to try to explain why the scripture means something else so the scripture are not so hard and that they don’t cut that deep and that our flesh still has a place to live in our lives. You have to start to think if those feelings are out of obedience to God or is it trying to tell me something that the word doesn’t say. Is it telling us that I can have God and still have what my sinful nature wants?
Luke 16 gives us this truth from God… this choice that we have to make.
13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
Do you see what Jesus says here… If you love Money you cannot serve/love God. You can’t love money and God at the same time. You cannot have both. You have got a choice to make. Make no mistake about it, our flesh wants money. We like the security, We love what it has to offer, we are afraid of what happens if we do not have it.
So let’s review what Jesus is saying again: If you love God, then you will hate money and if you are devoted to money then you will despise God.
Can you honestly say the phrase I HATE MONEY … or does your mind start thinking this is ridiculous. (That God doesn’t require us to hate money, God knows we need to have money to live in this world. )
Remember we are looking at things from a deceptive heart. Our hearts tell us that we can have both.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
We think it is unreasonable for God to expect us to hate money. But if we look at it from God’s perspective and not our hearts it becomes very clear. God sees money for what it really is; it is an idol. It vies for our attention, devotion, affection and our fear (the kind of fear that causes you to obey a master). MONEY WANTS YOU TO SERVE MONEY and it does not want you to serve God.
This is what this looks like to God:
Psalm 106:
39 They defiled themselves by their evil deeds,
and their love of idols was adultery in the LORD’s sight.
When dealing with the issue of money it is easy to look at it from a human perspective to make it just a matter of semantics a matter of doctrines, a matter of philosophy; but if your looking at it from God’s perspective it becomes very personal. God knows that money is an Idol that is vying for your attention and loyalty. When you insist on clinging to that idol in any shape or form you are committing adultery.
Jonah 2: 8 “Those who cling to worthless idols
forfeit the grace that could be theirs.
This idol is not new to us human beings, we have had to repent for loving this idol many times in the past (read just about all the books of the Torah)
If we refuse to hate money, God is not our fool. He knows that if you want to keep that old lover in our lives and say “God I’m not sleeping with it anymore, we just want to be friends and I don’t think it’s reasonable of you to make me make a choice”. God is not dumb to buy that lie. If you are not willing to shun that old lover that you were commiting adultery with for so many years, then God knows that we are still sleeping with it.
From that perspective we can understand why God requires this of us. We can understand God’s feelings from 2 Corinthians 11:2
2I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.
No matter how much it hurts us to give up money, to say I HATE MONEY…Jesus deserves to have a pure bride. He is going to have subjects who obey him and aren’t running after another king. Do you know what that is called; Treason.
Romans 6:
16Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Remember it was not very long after Jesus turned over the money changers that he was killed. He was betrayed by one of his dearest friends for WHAT? MONEY!. Money is an enemy of Jesus Christ and you cannot be loyal to an enemy of the King and expect for him to believe that you are not a spy, or a treasonous character. He deserves subjects that are going to only be in love with him.
I teach this truth because I was one who said this did not apply to me 2 years ago. I was the one who said Money is Good as long as I don’t love it. I was the one who said I can have expensive cars, mansions on this earth but I just can’t love it. I was the one who said WE NEED MONEY… even though Jesus told his disciples to sell everything and get things that are worthless, so no one would steal.
Those of you who truly think God is hand in hand with money. Let us think about the fact that God is not the one who created the idea of money; MAN DID. Man is evil and we created a value system that we could place above or on the same ground as God. God never said because you have sinned, I will create money for you. It was the sinful nature of man. So how can we even try to defend it. In fact I understand completely how we can.
If the Holy Spirit was able to show you that you do love money that there really is this strong hold there. Please talk to God and ask him to continue to cleanse you of your love of money of this idolatry.
Today, the seed of Corinth, the spirit of denominationalism and doctrines of men continues to divide the Church.
1 Corinthians 1:10-17 (New International Version)
Divisions in the Church
10I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11My brothers, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[a]“; still another, “I follow Christ.”
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into[b] the name of Paul? 14I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
1 Corinthians 3
On Divisions in the Church
1Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? 4For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere men?
5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. 9For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
10By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. 11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
16Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? 17If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
18Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a “fool” so that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a]; 20and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”[b] 21So then, no more boasting about men! All things are yours, 22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas[c] or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
John 17:11 (New International Version)
11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.
So Now we know what God says about our division. And you will continue to say God is moving in a divided church? Would that not be conveying that God is building a divided church? Will you continue to ask Christians, what church do you go to (what part of the division are you)?
